THE RUNE SAUNA GUIDE

This might help to answer some of your questions

To ensure that everyone can enjoy their sauna experience to the fullest we tell you how it works.

We want to guarantee a happy and secure haven for all our sauna guests. So remember that rules at Rune Sauna are not to restrict or stifle your enjoyment but rather to enhance it.

  • Why do we have a textil-policy?

By wearing swimwear in our sauna, we ensure a comfortable place to everybody. We know that nudity is very common in almost every sauna, but at Rune Sauna we want guests to maintain their privacy. It is one reason why we have such a special atmosphere. It helps to chat freely without discomfort and we can welcome people, who just don't want to be naked for several reasons such as religious or cultural. Other than that are we thankful to be able to operate at a public location, where it is undesirable to walk around fully unclothed.

  • Where can I change?

To change we kindly ask you to use the little huts which are provided by the city close to the bathing area at Kiellinie. To make the most of your time and to avoid queues at the changing rooms you might already wear your shorts or bikini underneath.

  • What to wear?

The key is to wear something that allows you to enjoy the sauna comfortably. We like you to bring a common bathingsuit or similar swimwear. We don't recommend long heavy wear though, as it cools you down quickly, after becoming wet during your swim. Also because it exists the risk of overheating we advise you to wear as less as swimwear. But what you wear in the end is of course your own choice.

  • Can I shower?

We are not providing fresh water showers yet. The Baltic Sea is just a few footsteps away. We recommend a dive before as well as after each sauna session.

  • How do I pay?

Through the booking system you can pay via PayPal, Creditcard or Instant Bank Transfer.

  • Booking

Before using the sauna a booking is requried. You can do that through our booking system on our website. Choose from our range of different sessions and find the right session for you.

  • Valuables and Lockers

To keep your valuables safe, we provide small lockers, which you are welcome to use. Just bring a padlock and you'll have it safe and sound. Glasses, watches and chains can be dropped at the provided hangers inside the sauna cabin.

Other belongings like bags and clothes can be kept in provided area.

  • Hygienics

We understand the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene for creating a welcoming and pleasant environment. Thats why we make sure that we clean it regulary. In addtion to that we set up a few rules, which help keeping the sauna clean. Please follow our rules regarding personal hygiene, towel usage, and sauna etiquette.

Let's collectively contribute to a clean and enjoyable space for everyone.

  • Parking

There is no parking next to the sauna. Easiest is to come on foot or by bike, which you can lock near by.

  • Toilets

We are glad to have a friendly neighbourhood. You can use the toilets of the 24/7 Camp next to us. Please leave them in an adequate manner.

  • What are our regulations?

In order to ensure a safe and comfortable place for everybody, we find it import to have a few guidelines. Please read through them. You find them in the information on our homepage.

  • Oven

The Sauna is heated by an electric sauna oven from Harvia.

  • How hot is the Sauna?

During our classic drop-in sessions the sauna has an average temperature of 85°C to 90°C.

It may be possible that it varies at special events.
