Rune Sauna UG (limited liability) primarily offers services in the sauna sector. To provide these services, the UG operates a sauna: Rune Sauna, Düsternbrooker Weg 46, 24105 Kiel.

On the leased premises, regular sauna operations take place. The subject of the contract is the use of the UG’s services. The use of the company’s services is carried out by you, the user.

Rune Sauna UG (limited liability) is aware that the protection and careful handling of your personal data are of great importance. Since data protection is a high priority for the company, it strictly adheres to the applicable legal provisions in Germany when processing such data (GDPR, Telemedia Act – TMG, TDDDSG).

obligations, limitations of liability, and other important information on the company’s website or on the website of Squarespace Ireland Limited (
www.squarespace.com), whose booking platform Acuity Scheduling we use.

2. Collection of Data

The UG collects and stores any information that you provide on the Acuity Scheduling booking platform and that is transmitted to the UG in the course of an online booking, or that you provide to the UG in any other way, for example on-site. The UG processes your personal data to the extent permitted by law and otherwise only with your consent. Where consent is given electronically in the context of an online booking via Acuity Scheduling, Squarespace complies with the legal information obligations and records this consent using appropriate technical systems.

The UG processes the following personal data of you, the user: name, email address, phone number, booking data, existing products, and account information.

Our website uses cookies. We use technically necessary cookies to make our website more user-friendly. The use of technically unnecessary cookies occurs solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), which you provide through our cookie consent banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

3. Purpose of Data Processing

We process your data within the scope of contract fulfillment for the following purposes:

  • To handle reservations and store outstanding products
  • To issue invoices
  • To create a booking history

You have the right to object to these data processing activities. If you exercise this right, we will no longer process your data for the purposes listed above from that point onward. Please note that if you withdraw your consent, the UG’s services can no longer be used, and your customer profile must be deleted.

If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we process your data to send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter emails.

We store your data for the duration of the contractual relationship. By default, customer profiles, including the profile data you have provided, are deleted 8 years after the last booking if they are inactive and no valid product (e.g., a 10-session pass, subscription, etc.) exists. Data that appears on an invoice or is necessary for invoice creation is retained for a longer period for tax purposes in accordance with legal retention requirements. After the retention period expires, this data is also deleted.

4. Data Security

Personal data is stored in a secure, closed system (Acuity Scheduling) and is protected by a password for data security reasons.

Squarespace Ireland Limited acts as a data processor on behalf of the UG and has implemented appropriate measures to ensure data security (for more information, see: www.squarespace.com)

If the UG becomes aware that your data has been systematically and seriously misused and that you may suffer harm as a result, the UG will inform you without undue delay.

The Rune Sauna UG’s website contains links to other services or websites. The Rune Sauna UG is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices of other websites. If you follow a link to another website, it is solely your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the privacy policy of that website. The UG’s privacy policy applies only to information processed by the UG.

For this data processing, the UG engages additional data processors alongside Acuity Scheduling. We disclose your data to the following recipients or categories of recipients:

  • For members of Hansefit, to Hansefit GmbH & Co. KG
  • For on-site payments, through the payment system of SumUp Limited

We maintain online presences within social networks (e.g., Instagram) in order to communicate with customers, interested parties, and users active there, and to inform them about our services. When accessing the respective networks and platforms, the terms of service and data processing policies of the respective operators apply.

By checking the box during the online booking process via Acuity Scheduling, you confirm that you have read the privacy policy of Rune Sauna UG (haftungsbeschränkt).
