Regulations
We want to guarantee a happy and secure haven for all our sauna guests. So remember that rules at Rune Sauna are not to restrict or stifle your enjoyment but rather to enhance it.
1. Respect others
At Rune Sauna, everyone is welcome, regardless of background or culture. Respect, kindness, and consideration for others are essential. Harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior will not be tolerated. The goal is to create a positive, respectful atmosphere. If you experience or notice any issues, please reach out immediately.
2. Personal Hygiene
Maintain proper personal hygiene at all times. While we don’t require you to shower before entering, please take responsibility for entering the sauna in a clean manner. Always leave the sauna as you found it, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the same comfortable atmosphere.
3. Booking
It’s recommended to book your session in advance to reserve a spot, as prices may vary. Bookings can only be made through our booking platform, and you’ll receive a confirmation. No booking, no entry. For the latest information, please check our booking page on the Rune Sauna website.
4. Aufguss
Please only use the provided Aufguss water, as bringing your own is not allowed. If you wish to use oils, always ask a staff member for guidance. Be mindful of others in the sauna—ensure you're not disturbing anyone and communicate before you start. When using the sauna water, pour it gently on the hot rocks, as splashes can burn your skin. Only water is allowed, as anything else can damage the sauna stones and be unsafe.
5. Swimwear
Only step into the sauna wearing your bathing suit, bikini or swim shorts (or similar). It is strictly forbidden to visit the sauna naked.
6. Cool Down
You are welcome to swim in the Baltic Sea at your own risk. The swim area is public, so be mindful of other swimmers. By using the swim area, you are leaving Rune Sauna and agreeing to follow the rules of "Kieler Bäder."
7. Food/ Beverages (Alcohol)
Refrain from bringing any food or drinks into the sauna room. Anywhere else is permitted, we just kindly remind you that the lounge is not a kitchen or picnic area. Of course you should bring your water bottles, always store them somewhere safe and stable. If you consume alcohol please follow our alcohol guide and the safety instructions.
8. Session Time
One Rune Sauna Session is 60 minutes long. That is enough time to heat approximately two to three times. On a normal day a session starts every full hour and ends the following full hour.
9. Arrival
The time when one session ends and the next session starts is always the busiest. For a smooth transition, consider the time of your arrival to be early enough. That helps not to interfere with people who are about to finish their session. Refrain from entering the sauna before your booked session time starts. Everybody shall be able to experience Rune Sauna to the fullest.
Notice: Rune Sauna doesn’t take any responsibility, if you miss out any time of your session, due to late arrival. Consider everything mentioned above and take changing time into account as well as queues at our facilities.
10. End Of Session
Like on arrival, respect the time of guests after yours and finish your booked Sauna Time punctual. Don’t decide to extend your booked time. It’s not fair and can cause queues and a full sauna, which leads to stress and an unrelaxed experience of others. When leaving, take all your belongings with you.
11. Cleanliness and Maintainance
Keep the sauna area clean and tidy. Please use the designated bins to dispose of any trash or waste. If you notice any spills or damages please inform us, so we can take care of it immediately.
12. Safety
The safety of our guests is our priority. Make sure you have read the safety instructions and adapt to the rules.
13. Case Of Emergency
In any case of emergency inform a member of the crew, if possible. Continue by following the steps of the emergency plan.
